NY Times.  Few dispute the many ways the opioid crisis has impacted Canadian (and other) communities in terms of medical and social costs. If anything is demonstrated by our history of street drug use in the past decades, it’s that we don’t really know what we’re doing. All the more reason to take a considered – and objective – look at how others are approaching the same problems. Safe injection sites are gaining traction in many countries including Canada. And some are now trying “A law [that] will allow controlled substances to be tested without penalty to ensure their authenticity.
