It’s always reassuring to continually discover how much good information on – and analysis of – our current life-space is out there. The trick, as always, is to do a bit of generalizing. This time, part of that is done by the article’s author, Crawford Killan connecting a study by the Lancet on “Public policy and health in the Trump era,” to existing western plutocracies and the supporting policies of neo-libralism (i.e. facilitation of the boundless right of individuals to ransack commonly owned resources). The next step is for us is to generalize as to how plutocracies and these policies play out here in Nanaimo, and how to apply Killan’s suggested remedies locally. [ARTICLE LINK]
