You may recall reading in the Victoria’s Daily News article cited in yesterday’s Viewpoint about the strategy of VIVA, the supposedly “non-partisan” slate of candidates (which actually has strong ties to Maxime Bernier’s PPC). The plan is to target local councils and school boards in Victoria’s 2022 election and run their own candidates for these positions.
Well, the Nanaimo-Ladysmith School Board has now posted the nomination documents filed by candidates running for the position of Trustee on October 15. Just in time for us to maintain momentum examining our own candidate connections up here in Nanaimo.
The link to the candidates’ documents is below. And this time, just to prevent slipping into boredom, why not vary your approach and start reading at the bottom of the list?

2022 General Election Nomination Documents & Statements of Disclosure. Nanaimo-Ladysmith Public Schools. Posted September 15, 2022. “Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools is making this information available in accordance with Section 89 of the Local Government Act.”
