Just a quick note to let you know that the issue of gender parity on Nanaimo Council and City committees, along with the parallel issue of the City providing childcare, have not been forgotten.
It has taken me more time than I expected to work down through what transpired at the Council meeting on December 2. I’m hoping that I’m now getting to the core concern over what took place – and it’s not about gender parity or childcare. I hope to have something for you soon, with any luck sometime next week.
In the meantime, if you haven’t already, you might consider subscribing to receive upcoming Visioning Nanaimo posts at https://visioningnanaimo.ca/subscribe/. That way, when next week’s and all future columns are published, you’ll receive immediate notification.
